I have been doing lots of research, and you are absolutely right, there is no self publishing company that does board books. I have also seen the way they operate, an initial investment from the author, printing services, ibsn, copyright, and distribution, and the author gets royalties, is that something you have thought about doing? I have not only an idea for a book, but a series of books aimed to help autistic children learn the alphabet as well as develop social emotional awareness. I only see this as a board book in my vision, but because of the lack of board book publishers, am now considering other options. I would love your input, and thoughts on this. We had been there a little over a year earlier and he nicely said it was way too early, hips looked good, to continue therapies, and wait til it was the last chance. He spent a lot of time that time. This time, got xray, waited he walk is, looks at legs, says tight in thighs, too late for botox, xray not "printed" but saw on computer that one joint looking bad, need muscle lengthening surgery. "You probably don't want it while it's hot so how about Aug, I'll have the office set it up." and out he goes. My daughter & I were stunned. In modern greek the horse is called "άλογο" (alogo) but we still use the root ''ippos'' in words like "ιππασία" (ιppassia) which means ''riding'', "ιππότης'' (ιππότης) which means ''knight'' (because knights ride horses) etc.<br />therapy (θεραπεία) is the greek ancient and modern word for ''cure'' or ''treatment"<br />Enough with the etymology.<br />I believe that ippotherapy is really helpful. Hippocrates, the famous ancient Greek doctor, recommended it for a lot of conditions.<br />But maybe 3,5 is a little too soon to start. Here in Greece, a child with special needs must be at least 4 to accept him/her for hippotherapy and 6,5 for a typical child to start riding lessons.anna kalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14334793378394258816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27546414.post-11478484845408346282014-04-29T06:15:29.499-07:002014-04-29T06:15:29.499-07:00We're getting K back on the horse today, after...We're getting K back on the horse today, after more than a year off. Her daughter didn't walk until almost 3 years old, and riding horses helped her muscles adapt to enable walking. The therapy changed as the child's body "loosened-up"... one type horse/saddle was used at beginning, then others as she progressed. Want to tell Thaddeus about it, but... one of the therapy-riding stables just closed, here. They have trouble being profitable. ???Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03993180432150426260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27546414.post-23448211161417588292014-04-28T23:44:38.590-07:002014-04-28T23:44:38.590-07:00Cutest kids on the planet.

Last October, for some reason we changed our son' s therapist. The new therapist also uses the Bobbath method, but in a different way. We saw much more progress in these few months. Also we changes our therapist for occupational therapy, the Progress is spectacular. I'm so, so, so, so, so tired of Nathan saying "This" for just about everything. Or saying, "Ma" instead of "Mama", "See" instead of "Sissy", "Day" instead of "Daddy", "Pa" instead of "Papa", "Be" instead of "BeBe" - the list goes on and on. And it's not that he CAN'T say Papa and Bebe and Mama and so on, it's that he WON'T.
